An Afternoon with the Cowart Family!

I have been following Jeremy Cowart for a couple of years. I'm not sure how I came across him, but I have a feeling it had something to do with the Purpose Hotel. Of course, being a celebrity photographer is pretty cool, but it was the fact that he did something with his position to help other people that made me a follower. I was truly inspired.

Imagine my surprise and excitement when I was chosen to shoot a documentary session of him and his family! I documented Jeremy, his wife Shannon, their four children, Adler, Eisley, Eli and Ebbe, and Shannon's step dad, Sam, all playing together on their vacation in beautiful St. Augustine, Florida.

The boys were the first ones out on the beach and they were ready to play ball!

Eli loved playing in the sand. He was cracking me up with THIS though. He'd pick up some sand, throw it up in the air and hold his palm out like something from Dragon Ball Z.

Once the whole family got out to the beach, Jeremy thought it'd be cool to get some photos of him taking polaroids of his kids because that's what's usually happening! :)

Gotta fix the hair! I wish I knew what Eli was saying with that expression!

And some of Sam too!

Ebbe thought it was funny to stick moms finger in a crab hole!

These next images are some of my favorite.
The girls loved this! They called it "the human swing."

When it was time for four corners, everyone joined in!

I'd love to share every image from this session but there are so many.
I'm so thankful for the opportunity to capture these moments for this family!

If you've never heard of Jeremy Cowart, I encourage you to listen to his story and check out his humanitarian projects!
